About JVL Foods by Joe Lane
Joe Lane is proud to present the first real step in his new project JVL Foods. The former owner of the award-winning restaurant Fish Creek Seafood and Steakhouse has been piecing this business together since the devastation of the Covid Pandemic.
At the onset of the pandemic Lane was signed on to do a new restaurant in Willow Park called Tom’s Table (named after his father) but due to the shutdowns that project was scraped. He then started something quite simple called Bistro Box which delivered artisan sandwiches and salads to people’s homes. From there he added Bistro Box Fit through his friends at Synergy Fitness in Willow Park and started a healthy weekly meal prep business which is soon to be branching out to multiple gyms in both Tarrant and Parker County under the new name of JVL Foods Meal Prep.
Considering that Lane always had a catering business as well he started bringing the restaurant experience into people’s homes with his next step which was to provide In Home Chef Experiences by Joe Lane Catering. Next in his plan was to create a business that offered prepackaged, and chef prepared take home meals in addition to his healthy weekly meal prep menus. Thus, Chef Prep by Joe Lane Catering was created. Currently Lane has these products on the shelves for sale at Carve and Cask in Willow Park and will be opening soon in the Weatherford Farmers Market and announcing more stores soon. These meals include everything from take and bake pizzas to some old classics from his restaurant Fish Creek like shrimp and grits and jumbo lump crab cakes. All very simply packaged and ready to heat and eat in your home. In addition to the meals Lane offers everything from aioli’s, salad dressings and compound butters with his own line of spices and marinades in the working as well.
Lane draws his experience from over 20 years in the restaurant business. His Restaurant Fish Creek was featured in Texas Monthly, Parker County Today Magazine, FW Star Telegram, FW Magazine, FW Weekly and many others. In addition, the restaurant won several awards from Business of the Year to multiple food competitions and always had time for fund raisers and philanthropies.
During Lanes time in Parker County philanthropy was always an important factor and he has had positions on many Boards of Directors from President Elect of the Parker County United Way, Ride for Heroes and the Business Development Group of Aledo. He even spent a small time in public office in Willow Park as he sat on Planning and Zoning for the city for many years.
It has been a long road to get to this point with a lot of failed locations and plans that didn’t come to fruition but if you are reading this and have met Lane you know he has a lot more coming and won’t quit until he is done.
